Shanghai-style Spare Ribs
(Serves 4 people)Ingredients:
- 1kg spare ribs cut into finger length pieces
- 3 spring onions, chopped
- 3 inches ginger, sliced finely
- 1 litre water
- 6 tablespoons Kwong Cheong Thye Superior Dark Soya Sauce
- 6 tablespoons sugar
- 4 tablespoons Gekkeikan Sake
- Put all the ingredients into a big pan, cover and bring to boil
- Lower heat and allow to simmer for 40 minutes, turning the spare ribs over every now and then
- Remove lid and put the pan on high heat for 20 minutes, or until the sauce thickens
- Serve immediately
