SeeWoo History

Old ChinatownThe SeeWoo Group originally started with SeeWoo Hong a small shop in Soho (London's Chinatown) in 1976. Situated in the largest Chinese community in Europe, the small Soho grocery store brought a taste of the East to the West as well as meeting high local demands for food from the Far East.

SeeWoo was and still is a family run business, founded by Tsun (Issy) Tse with his brothers Kwai Chun (Stanley) and Hon Wing (Tony) Tse. The entrepreneurial ability of the 3 brothers saw SeeWoo rapidly expand supplying more and more restaurants and supermarkets encouraging them to extend the Chinatown store and open a cash and carry in Greenwich to meet the demands of the local Vietnamese community.

SeeWoo BossesToday, the SeeWoo Group has stores in London Soho, London Paddington, Reading, Greenwich and Glasgow with distribution centres in Park Royal, Greenford, Greenwich, Glasgow and Rotterdam.
